Bah.

I have just returned from a visit to the joined court of the Seelie and Unseelie elves. It seems some foolish mortal promised to do 'anything' in exhange for his family being saved from a disaster.

Of course, one of our folk had to be around to take advantage of it. Now I am in charge of the young man's college education - he must learn the right subjects to be of use to us. It seems the plan is to make him an investigator into the supernatural, able to go into places where the locals are smart enough to put up defenses against us.

Now I am tied to this area for another four years. Lovely. And will the Council look kindly if I wind up in a magical duel with Sadoma, because I could not leave? I think not.
